Margalef del Montsant is part of the famous wine region "El Priorat". It's a small village of 100 inhabitants aprox., especially dedicated to till the land  (major cultivation: olives, almonds and peaches, etc). The climate is continental.

There is a medical service and the nearest hospital is in the town of Mora d'Ebre (45'). There is also swimming pool, tennis court, restaurant, children park, grocers and of course, the coffee shop.

Festivities: 6 August, Saint Salvador’s day. People walk to Saint Salvador hermitage. After the mass every family prepare the barbecue and after lunch there are games for children and their parents. The elders sing traditional songs. 25^th April, Saint Marc’s day.  The 29 September, Saint Miquel’s day there is a popular meal at the square of the village and the 1st November, barbecue of products pork. After, dance for everybody.
